OXtender for SyncML
OXtender for SyncML enables smooth interface with most mobile devices
Due to the increasing networking of all sorts of devices the demand of universal solutions to their synchronizationis continuously growing. Until now synchronization of data has been restricted to certain devices and applications. Users spend a lot of time and money on the installation and configuration of all the different applications and devices necessary for data synchronization.
SyncML solves the problem
SyncML (Syncronization Markup Language) is the platform-independent information synchronization standard that drives data mobility by establishing a common language for communications between devices, applications and networks. SyncML is powered within the Open Mobile Alliance by Sony Ericsson, IBM, Lotus, Matsushita, Motorola, Nokia, Symbian, Palm and others.
The OXtender for SyncML supports SyncML version 1.1 and extends the power of Smart Collaboration™ to users of hundreds of types of mobile devices offered by major device manufacturers. SyncML enabled devices can exchange messages as well as update calendar, contact and task information over the air. A short overview about devices which support syncML 1.1 can be found in the OpenSync Device Compatibility Listing.
Without any additional software, the OXtender for SyncML ensures seamless connection and interface between Open-Xchange Server and common mobile phones with Motorola V550, Nokia 60, 80 and 90 series, Siemens S65 v43, SonyEricsson K750i and P910i.
